Story of Kunning Palace

Jiang Xue Ning’s ambition to become empress strains her friendship with Yan Lin and leads to the arrest of the noble Official Zhang Zhe. Her short-lived reign as the empress comes to an end as rebels led by General Yan Lin, seize the capital and ruthlessly exterminate the entire royal family. Guilt sets in as she’s imprisoned within the palace and in a final plea, she offers her life for Zhang Zhe’s freedom.

Miraculously, Jiang Xue Ning awakens in her 18-year-old body, who has yet to enter the palace. Given another chance at life, she vows to live differently beyond the palace walls to mend her past remorse. She becomes entangled in the palace intrigues once again as a study companion to Princess Le Yang and disciple of Xie Wei, the well-respected imperial teacher and emperor’s advisor, who also happens to be the mastermind behind the heinous rebellion that led to her demise.
